My Introduction to Computers & Design

I’ve been involved in art for most of my life. Growing up, I had no idea what the Internet or a web developer was. However, when I started working with computers in the early 1980s, it opened up a whole new world for me.

In 1988, my family opened a computer and software store called Bits & PCs in Santa Rosa. As a result, I discovered the many software programs available for graphic design. I quickly began learning them and started designing newspaper ads, Yellow Page ads, brochures, and flyers for the business.

Professional Experience in Web Development

After our business closed 12 years later, I began working for New Generation Media, a local Internet startup. Over the next decade, I became the Lead Web Developer, custom-designing websites for hundreds of clients, both locally and across the country.

Our company partnered with major advertising firms, designing websites and online ads for their clients. For example, we worked with ClearChannel, Bicoastal Media, Maverick Media, The Press Democrat, and many others. This experience gave me the opportunity to refine my skills and work on a wide range of projects.

Expanding My Skills & Expertise

Throughout the years, I have continued expanding my knowledge of website layout and design, HTML, WordPress, Shopify customization, Adobe Creative Suite, and CSS. Furthermore, my designs have evolved to keep up with the latest web trends and mobile requirements.

My Passion for Custom Web Design

Creating custom websites is something I truly love. It allows me to combine my artistic ability with my technical expertise. In addition, I enjoy learning about different businesses in Sonoma County by working closely with clients to develop their websites.

I approach every project as if it were for my own business. Therefore, my goal is always to exceed my client’s expectations and deliver a website that not only looks great but also functions seamlessly.

A Bit About Me

I live in Santa Rosa with my two boys and three cats! In addition to working from home as a freelance web designer, I run an Etsy shop with my mom and sister, allowing me to continue my artistic endeavors in new ways.
